Perform day-to-day medical office housekeeping functions in office areas, patient/procedure rooms, common areas and special projects as assigned. These duties include sweeping and/or mopping floors, dusting furniture, cleaning walls, furniture, medical equipment, and emptying trash, restocking supplies, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
High School or equivalent required. Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of applicable OSHA practices and Infection Control procedures for healthcare is strongly preferred. Individual must be able to work independently and schedule cleaning activities to meet the needs of patients and staff/physicians.
