Description:

75% of their time will be working in the lab and this will be LIMS interfacing - they use the LIMS to track samples through process and to pull raw data where needed for analysis Will extract reports into excel and manipulate the data to send to external customers and internally to other teams within Biotech that they support -need experience with pipetting, extractions/preparing samples for an analytical team as well; pH meters, and scales -Will be working with some automated equipment too and will be putting together sample collection kits- samples are primarily moth samples -Coordinate work loads within the team; will be customer facing (internal customers)- listen and be supportive- we are a customer based group. Tracking things in the lab -Sample processing, Monitor work stations & critical equipment; shipping & receiving samples, interfacing with principle investigators. -Ultimately, want to be able to cross-train all staff in sample prep and analytical

2+ years of lab experience - MUST be either graduate school OR industry experience NOT just experience from undergrad; Would consider Master's level candidates - Chemistry OR Biology degree or any related field- most important that they have the lab experience Sample Prep- processing samples that will be used in research 2 years Hands on working at the bench- Need 1+ years' experience with LIMS based system (Ex: Labvantage, Labware, etc) and Microsoft Excel- pivot tables, v-lookups - more advanced skills in this area Need experience with Powerpoint presentations A strong mechanical aptitude. Experience with lab automation preferred; ISO/GLP lab experience required
