    The Role

    This position will provide leadership and direction to ensure group results for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. S/he provides support and expertise on complex technical solutions to team(s) along with hiring, coaching and assessing individuals to ensure they are effective team members. S/he will collaborate with internal teams/stakeholders and provide expertise to ensure all aspects of the solution(s) are technically superior, a successful team culture is achieved, using available tools & industry best practices, ensuring work aligns with strategic& tactical goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
    • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the department for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.
    • Directs and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards for assigned area(s) of responsibility.

    • Establishes and implements priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure group results for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Directs and provides leadership to continually improve the capability and results for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

    • Partners with multiple teams and/or departments on the technical design, development, and implementation of technical solution(s)
    • Ensures complex technical solutions are developed using best practices that challenge the norm, while adhering to Lincoln standards and the strategic direction & intent of the work Develops people by helping them gain skills and knowledge needed to be successful in an agile delivery environment.
    Additional Responsibilities
    • Provides relevant technical coaching and support Understands, teaches, and/or sponsors the engineering skills needed to support the development of high-quality code, components, systems and solutions aligned with the business and IT strategy Works to mitigate or eliminate technical impediments to team delivery
    • Champions continuous learning and innovation, such as adoption of development and test automation, to strengthen the long-term success of team deliverables
    • Champions and advocates for the adoption of the Agile Framework; Serves as an agent of change
    • Creates and manages financial plans for training budgets and/or overall departmental expenses
    • Works with architecture and agile teams to ensure system, technical, and product architectures are aligned with business objectives
    • Proactively works with other leaders to conceive team structure and seek opportunities to maximize agility and efficiency
    Education

    4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required

    Experience

    • 7+ Years experience that directly aligns with the responsibilities for this position including 3 years of Agile Experience including Scrum Master role and 3 years experience in waterfall project/program/ portfolio resource planning, reporting, and prioritization. (Required )
    • 3+ Years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience. (Required )
