Principal duties and responsibilities
*Coordinates and manages day to day operations as well as participates in project work and changes to the AD environment.
*Maintains awareness of technology developments and makes recommendations to management regarding AD
*Assists with resolution of escalated incidents and participates in problem management activities.
*Cross-trains other IT staff in the use or maintenance of technology.
*Supports efforts to architect infrastructure solutions around business requirements.
*Exhibits accuracy, attention to detail, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and ability to work in an atmosphere of multiple projects and shifting priorities.
*Coordinates efforts with industry vendors around design and choice of infrastructure selection.
*Works with Project Managers to identify requirements, work breakdown structures, activity lists, activity estimates, project schedules, and technical documentation.
*Represents Infrastructure Services in cross departmental efforts, focusing on infrastructure impact in terms of architecture, cost and operational efficiencies.
*Mentors others on team around IT infrastructure and industry developments
*Proactively identifies improvement opportunities in the technical environment
*Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
*Displays professionalism, quality service and a 'can do' attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors via electronic and print correspondence, over the telephone and in-person
*BA/BS or equivalent work experience preferred.
*5+ years' experience in relevant technology as detailed above.
*Strong working knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing and firewalls
*Familiar with changes necessary to maintain performance levels of applications when transitioning from on-premise environments to IaaS public clouds (GCP);
*Experience working with cloud technologies and SaaS solutions
*Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership of issues, work independently or escalate as needed, and find creative ways to resolve problems.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly, and concisely present complicated computer concepts to end-users with differing skill levels.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills as necessary to communicate and coordinate with others with the strong ability to resolve problems independently and to work successfully with minimal supervision in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
*Make significant decisions and recommendations on complex issues to achieve long-term results and strategic objectives.
*Assume ownership and manage large projects delivering results on-time and in budget.
*Develop and document standard operating procedures for use by Information Technology including development of processes to ensure consistent execution of repeatable tasks.
