    Job Description

    The Performance Education Nurse (RN) is a professional, registered nurse responsible coordinating and implementing performance improvement initiatives and staff education. The Performance Education Nurse (RN) has accountabilities for the monitoring, implementation and evaluation of process and programs to meet regulatory, accreditation and standards of practice. This role will coordinate and follow through on the orientation of new employees and the on-going development of tenured employees.

    Responsibilities of the Performance Education Nurse (RN):

    • Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the organization's quality improvement program through collaboration with clinical managers and QA.
    • Responsible for ensuring processes to monitor and evaluate safety, risk management and infection control programs.
    • Collaborates with nursing supervisors to provide a process to promote and ensure employee orientation, competency and inservice education programs.
    • Monitor organization compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
    • Acts as a clinical resource to personnel.
    • Promotes self-growth and collegial relationships with others in the home care industry.

    Qualifications of the Performance Education Nurse (RN):

    • Current NH RN License
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program by the National League for Nursing.
    • Three (3) to five (5) year's clinical nursing experience. (An emphasis in home care nursing is preferred).
    • Excellent understanding of performance improvement, quality assurance, and
      utilization management.
    • Is self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Has excellent coordination and communication skills.

    Lake Sunapee Region VNA is a mid-sized Homecare, Hospice, and Private Duty agency covering 32 towns and 3 counties in the Lake Sunapee and Upper Valley regions. We provide patient centered care in the home setting with the goal to keep patients safely in their home for as long as they desire. Lake Sunapee Region VNA provides hospice services with the goal of providing the patient with the end of life experience they desire to have. Our agency also provides Private Duty Services to aid with daily living and homemaking tasks.
