Cor Mariae Center, part of Ascension Living, is looking for a caring and compassionate LPNs to join the team! Nestled in a quiet neighborhood setting, this 134-bed community offers continuing care with independent living suites, sheltered care, rehabilitation, and long-term skilled nursing care.

Every other weekend LPN opening!
Day shift: 6 AM to 2:30 PM

Schedule will include hours every other weekend and some holidays

What You Will Do

As an LPN with Ascenson Living, you will have the opportunity to provide basic bedside care to long term care patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, functioning within scope of license.

Responsibilities:

• Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
• Performs routine laboratory tests and simple therapeutic services.
• Educates patients/families about disease treatment plan including self-care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care. Assures resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate.

What You Will Need

Required Credentials

• Valid license as a practical or vocational nurse in IL
• CPR certification preferred for assisted living; required for LTC upon hire, or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment

Education/Experience

• Completion of an accredited LPN program
• A minimum of one-year experience as an LPN preferred, but not required
• Supervisory experience preferred, but not required
• Possesses working knowledge of state and federal regulations
