Leidos has an opening for a Software Developer Training Engineer supporting a Mission Planning development program in Orlando, FL.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be energetic, curious, organized and comfortable working as a part of a team in a peer-to-peer environment. Under supervision, general responsibilities will include: creation (and continuous maintenance) of Software Developer self-paced training curricula for a cloud and micro-service based next generation Mission Planning System.
Required Credentials
U.S. Citizenship
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or a closely related field
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 4-8 years of related experience including software integration/development and testing experience
Demonstrated experience with latest web technologies (Node, NPM, React, Redux)
Experience with Typescript (and Javascript)
Experience with Spring Microservice Infrastructure, RabbitMQ, Steeltoe, Swagger
Strong knowledge of both Linux and Windows Environments
Knowledge of software testing concepts
Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multiple contractors, government agencies and other mission planning stakeholders to include formal training classes.
Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
Preferred Experience
Knowledge of software version control tools such as GIT
Some hands on experience with an object oriented programming language (such as Visual Basic, VB.NET, C#, C++, or Java)
Experience with Azure DevOps/Team Foundation Server (TFS)
Some hands on experience with a scripting programming language (i.e. PowerShell)
Familiarity with Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) is a plus
Knowledge of Virtual Machine environments, VMWare, Terraform, Docker containers (Window and Linux), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment philosophy
Experience working in an Agile Development environment (SAFe is a plus)
Experience with public speaking in technical contexts
