The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Development Missions Systems Capability is seeking a Mission Systems Computing Hardware Manager for a Strike, Surveillance, and Mobility product team structure for the Mission Systems computing systems used on all Airborne Surveillance Command and Control (ASC2) platforms. Position is located in Oklahoma City, OK. Travel required approximately 25% or more at times during Seattle to OKC transition period.
The selected candidate will lead the vision in the development of computing system architectures and advanced distributed computing systems. A strong candidate for this position has a broad understanding of the following areas: network subsystems, storage systems, knowledge of processor capability, hardware/software interfaces, driver engines, display hardware, and security measures. The Mission Systems Computing Hardware Manager performs as the liaison that coordinates Mission Systems activities, personnel, support, and products to the ASC2 Program Management, ASC2 Program Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) and other ASC2 IPTs and various levels of customer representatives. Responsibilities include Control Account Management (CAM) which consists of cost and schedule performance using Boeing CAM tools. Direct reports will consist of engineering personnel. Activities involve developing and maintaining productive teams, managing project execution, managing budgets, developing detail schedules, using and applying sound technical judgment and decision skills, communicating positively with all teams, supporting upper management & company goals or productivity, business growth and profitability, and motivating teams of highly skilled engineers. The position will support multiple aircraft platforms; therefore, task assignments are cyclical depending on the state of product development of a given program. These programs offer new development opportunities with the latest technology and opportunities to work with domestic and foreign customers.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
