We expect you to make your best effort to stay until a replacement can be found for you. If handled appropriately and professionally, leaving early with approval and cooperation from the manager and Shifts by Snagajob will only result in one strike.
The manager asked me to stay later than my original shift end time. What should I do?
On occasion, the shift manager may ask you to work longer hours.
You do not have to say yes; the decision is up to you. If you decide to work later, just report the longer hours when you submit hours, and you'll get paid for that extra time.
What if the work I'm doing is different from the work I signed up to do?
Occasionally, you may be asked to do additional duties that are similar in nature to the ones described in your original shift. If the duties you end up doing are very different from what you signed up to do, we want to know. Please take the following steps:
Contact us right away so we can begin looking into the situation.
Leave a note about what happened in the feedback section when you clock out from your shift.
We'll evaluate these instances on a case-by-case basis.
I got sent home early from my shift. What happens now?
Regardless of the reason you were sent home early, please submit accurate hours reflecting the time you worked.
Whether or not you’re paid for the original shift length depends on the reason for early dismissal.
You'll be paid for the full original shift length if a manager sent you home early based on factors unrelated to your conduct and/or performance, such as the following:
Job completed early
Business is sufficiently staffed
Business is slower than anticipated
A manager made a shift request by mistake
You will be paid ONLY for the hours you worked if you were dismissed early due to:
Being unable to perform the job duties outlined in the shift description
If you are asked to leave early due to improper conduct, you may receive a strike on your account.
What do I do if I get injured during a shift?
We hope that accidents never happen, but if they do, you may be protected through worker's compensation through Shifts by Snagajob. You must report the incident through the proper process so it can be handled appropriately.
If you are hurt during a shift:
Immediately tell the manager on duty.
