You should get an invite through text or email, depending on the settings of your account. Be sure to check your SPAM folder for an email sent from “snagwork@t.snagajob.com” with the title “Welcome to Snagajob Shifts – Complete your profile.”

We run background checks to protect our business partners, but we strive to be fair and reasonable with how a criminal record impacts our final decision to invite you to Snagajob Shifts. 

This check is required and comes at no cost to you. We provide every candidate access to their report through our third party partner, Checkr.

Once you give your consent, a background check typically takes 2-3 days to process. If you have a past charge on your record, it can take up to 2-6 weeks for your report to be finished.

If your report doesn’t surface a past conviction that Snagajob has concern with, we’ll move forward with your onboarding.

If your report surfaces criminal history that gives us a reason to be concerned, we’ll send you an email with a “Pre-adverse action notice” that will list the conviction(s) that we have deemed relevant to your potential with Snag Work. We’ll ask you to schedule a follow-up meeting with us to talk about it and we’ll evaluate all of the information on an individual, case-by-case basis that’s in line with the law and EEOC guidance.

If we don’t hear from you within 7 days of the “Pre-adverse action notice” email, we will make our hiring determination based on the information currently available to us.

Your checking account info is required so we can pay you for every shift that you work. After a manager confirms your hours, we pay you securely and directly into your account. Payday is weekly.

If payday falls on a bank holiday, workers may experience a delay in payment.

It’s up to you whether you claim a shift or not. For each shift you claim, you can review the requirements such as uniform guidelines. Some brands may require you to review training materials or pass a simple quiz (don’t worry, you can take it as many times as you need) to be able to work at their location.

When a business requests a shift at their location, all Shifts workers who have matching availability will get a text with a link to the shift details. When you claim the shift, the business gets a confirmation message and your basic info so someone will be waiting to welcome you.

We’re constantly adding more businesses to Shifts, so if you’re not getting any shift invitations, we recommend you adjust your availability in your profile settings.
