Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position

An Experienced Heavy Truck Diesel Technician/Mechanic is needed to perform the following functions on a Fleet of Extensive Diesel Engine Heavy Duty Truck-Tractor Systems for our client in Hickory Hills, IL:
Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Job Description:
Perform diagnostic inspections on general truck-tractor systems
Perform preventative maintenance inspection of truck-tractor components
Perform repairs to truck-tractor components
Complete required paperwork to reflect hours, parts and lube, which are utilized within each job functions
Make road calls when component failure is in remote location
Perform all other job-related duties as assigned by the Shop Manager.
Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Primary Duties:
Preventative Maintenance
Oil changes
Air/hydraulic brakes
Suspensions
Transmissions
General Maintenance
Qualified Candidates For Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Will Have The Following Education/Experience:
2 years of truck-trailer repair experience is required.
A minimum of 3 Automotive Service Excellence Certifications are required.
A valid CDL is required.
High School Diploma is required.
Trade school, mechanical course, or equivalent highly desired.
Working Conditions:
Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
