We are hiring for Worker's Comp Billing Specialists to join one of the leading revenue cycle management companies. The company has 3 openings for their Brecksville office. They have worked with over 3,000 physicians and 700 locations in the past 30 years.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate insurance verification.
- Contacts employers for appropriate insurance carrier information.
- Processes claims and billings to carriers
- Contacts carriers for payment resolution.
- Accesses each state’s worker’s comp website for employer verification.
- Adheres to Government Regulations, Insurance Contracts and legal matters pertaining to collections, lawsuits, third party liability, probate, etc., to maximize reimbursement.
- Processes rejections and denials to determine if the claim needs to be submitted for an appeal with the payer.
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of all Patient and Insurance demographic information in the Billing Systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred; a minimum of an AA degree. Medical Coding Certification in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree acceptable.
- Knowledge of and experience in work comp and private health insurance processes pertaining to claiming and coding health services.
- Current knowledge of ICD-9-CM & CPT-5 diagnostic coding classification systems.
- Three years current experience and working knowledge in coding and billing functions of third party payer systems, including workman, and commercial insurance.
- Demonstrated awareness of, sensitivity to, and competence in dealing with cultural and socioeconomic diversity of client population.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Ability to read and interpret an EOB
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and external contacts to the organization.
- Demonstrated PC skills, i.e. proficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional organizational skills required.
- Ability to meet designated deadlines is also a critical qualification
