Retail Sales Associate - Full-time / Part-time

Store/sales clerks work independently and at the direction of high’s management team to accomplish the following job duties. All clerks must be able to: read and count money as required, to operate a cash register, and lift at least sixty pounds in order to stock shelves.

Job Duties and Requirements

1. Greet all customers entering the store – assist customers, ring sales on cash registers, lottery terminals and gas console, in a pleasant, courteous and prudent manner, bags merchandise when necessary and thank each customer. Each clerk is responsible for watching and assisting all customers while in the store to prevent theft and protect against shoplifting.
2. Operate cash register, ringing sales, counting change, giving receipts, changing tapes and checking register at shift change, according to register and money procedures, rules and regulations.
3. Operate: Coffee machine, to prepare coffee, dips ice cream for cones and packs ice cream for bulk, according to formulation sheets, in a safe and conscientious manner to avoid injury and prevent abuse to all equipment.
4. Opens and prices incoming merchandise using correct pricing, stocks and fronts all shelves and racks including milk box and freezers as needed. Bags ice and changes soda and CO2 tanks as needed.
5. Cleans and helps to keep clean all areas of the store by washing, wiping, sweeping, mopping and defrosting, window/doors, floors, counters/racks/shelves, freezers, milk box and bathroom.
6. Abides by High’s Rules and Regulation, to protect High’s interests.
