We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer experienced working with industrial sewing, stitching, and embroidery machines and the mechanical/electrical repair of production equipment for our facility. The right candidate need to have the required skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, radio, security system, plumping and welding field. This individual must have good practical, technical and communication skills with ability in math, measuring and calibrating and have good problem-solving skills. The ability to work quickly and under pressure, manage a varied workload and the initiative to work on your own or as part of a team.

 

Job Description:

 

  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on buildings and production equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, electrical systems, machining, welding, and carpentry.
  • Efficiently and safely uses a variety of tools and materials in machine and building maintenance (includes most power tools, hand tools, machine shop equipment, personal computer, electrical testing equipment, metals, plastics, rubber, PVC, Teflon, both metric and English hardware, electrical parts, wood and wood products and wood fasteners). May also use forklifts and other lifting equipment in performing work.
  • Promptly notifies the appropriate resources (internal and external) in the event major repairs to equipment or facilities are needed and provides accurate communication/documentation to assist in the repair.
  • Works with machine vendors to assist in repairing machines and ordering parts.
  • Installs and assists in the installation of equipment.
  • Promptly and accurately completes forms, records and reports used to document the status of department projects and tasks.
  • Assists in developing and carrying out preventive maintenance program.
  • Maintains effective and respectful working relationships with other associates.
  • Actively participates in and supports teamwork, continuous process improvement, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and commitment through cross training and helping other departments consistent with business needs.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
  • Performs duties safely and in accordance with company safety policies

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • High school graduate with additional job-related, technical training at a technical trade school or community college level.
  • 1-3 years experience with a broad understanding of electrical and/or mechanical repairs.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment helpful.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Customer focus with ability to deal with challenges and internal customers in a calm and helpful manner. Ability to learn a broad range of product processes and related machinery.
  • Strong problem solving and organization skills.
  • Must be a reliable, conscientious team player.

 

 

Pay Rate:  $15.00 - $16.00 per hour BOE, Temp to Hire Opportunity, Monday – Friday
