Job Description:

Summary: Plan and coordinate the preparation of nutritious meals. Order and purchase all food and kitchen supplies. Maintain Kitchen safety and food handling procedures throughout production. Maintain ServSafe certification. Do routine cleaning and maintenance of kitchen, storage areas and equipment. Supervise the part time kitchen staff. 

Additional Duties to Include: Culinary Arts Instructor. Help Students to learn subject matter which will lead toward fulfillment of their potential intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth. Direct, assess, and evaluate the learning experiences of the students along with assessing the effectiveness of academic area of Culinary Arts. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Observes expected work hours.
• Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Observes dress code.
• Prepare and provide quality instruction.
• Present clear, complete, and accurate explanations so that students understand what is expected.
• Approach subject matter in a positive and enthusiastic manner.
• Make provisions, if known, for students with identified exceptionalities.
• Encourage active student participation.
• Fairly assess student progress.
• Demonstrates good work attendance.
• Assumes the privileges and responsibilities of employment as outlined in the Employee Manual.
• Demonstrates a reasonable effort to maintain and improve adequate job knowledge and skill level.
• All other duties as required.
