Site Director - Part-time

Champions, a member of the Knowledge Universe Family, is seeking enthusiastic educators to join our team. We will  provide high quality after school program for South Hill Elementary.

Champions Extended Learning staff works with school-age children (ages 5 – 12) in elementary school settings. Site Directors and assistants are responsible for the day to day program operations and communication with parents and school personnel.

Responsibilities include but not limited to  direct supervision of children and small group instruction. He/she works to implement age appropriate activities, and to provide a caring environment where children are safe and secure.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and conduct daily activities for children

- Develop and implement curriculum

- Maintain an orderly physical environment, which promotes growth and development of children

- Responsible for preparing/serving healthy snacks

- Help foster and facilitate play between children

- Develop and maintain a safe and supportive environment that responds to and supports the needs of each child

- Attend all staff meetings, training sessions, and program special events

- Participate in at least five hours of professional development per year

- Candidate must be capable of bending, crouching or kneeling at children’s level and be able to lift children weighing up to 50 pounds. Candidate must also be able to reach at and above shoulder height and must be capable of frequent changes of position throughout the work shift

- Perform other duties as required by supervisor (remains flexible)

We are currently seeking a Site Director and Site Assistants. 

Site Director Qualifications:

- Minimum of two years’ experience working with children in a group setting

-Twenty one years of age or more

-Completed thirty or more college quarter credits in an education related studies

Program positions are Monday - Friday through the school year.  Positions require site staff  to work  3pm -6pm.
