The District Manager position primarily focuses on increasing enrollment throughout the centers. This includes networking with families in the community though participation in: events, mixers, and other face-to-face opportunities to create positive interactions. This position also entails shaking hands with: realtors, apartment managers, doctors, Human Resources departments at local businesses, etc. in an effort to create win-win partnerships.

DM's are also responsible for enforcing Safari Childcare's mission, philosophies, and policies throughout the centers in an effort to ensure: children, parents, and staff all benefit from a high-quality program. The ability to identify and solve problems, cultivate talent, and ensure accountability from staff will be vital in achieving business performance goals. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, sales-driven managers with exceptional team-building and conflict resolution skills.

Hard-working, dedicated leaders will be responsible for ensuring:

Responsibilities also include: managing multiple sites (within a 30 mile radius); driving marketing initiatives; creating/monitoring financial reports; promoting positive customer relationships; implementing quality control standards; creating market competiveness; participating in public relations opportunities and community events; monitoring centers for: health, cleanliness, safety, and DCFS compliance; completing performance evaluations and onsite training.

Job Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Business Administration
* 10 years management experience
* Sales experience with evidence of measurable outcomes achieved (awards, etc.)
* Proven supervisory, time management, and organizational skills
* Evidence of ability to perform independently
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in a clear, audible, grammatically correct manner
* Demonstrated ability to evaluate, hire and train staff to achieve top performance
* Prior P&L, budget management and financial analysis experience
* Ability to adapt, lead others through change & respond to dynamic environment
* Microsoft Office experience including, but not limited to: Word, Excel & Outlook
* Ability to adapt to, embrace, and ultimately implement the "Safari way" once trained by our Executive team, each of whom have extensive knowledge based upon their many years of experience here

Results-oriented, self-paced, self-driven individuals who will communicate effectively with employees, colleagues and customers will thrive in this environment. Must be willing to lead and act, and take appropriate action to maximize sales and minimize loss. This position involves leading as well as working alongside your subordinates. It is not a sit behind a desk and tell others what to do, so much as a willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Must be willing to work varying days and hours, based on business needs. In order to be successful, this typically includes a 50-60 hour work week. Current driver's license and insurance is required for daily travel between assigned centers.
