Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Satellite TV Installation Trainers develop, plan, coordinate, and deliver training and development programs designed to meet organizational needs for staff level employees. He/She is accountable for the progression of the staff in meeting and exceeding customer expectations and workmanship. Other responsibilities include:

  • Participates in needs analyses studies to assist Training Managers on the training needs within organization.
  • Partners with management to identify specific work situations and skills requiring employee improvement, such as, better understanding of policies, procedures, regulations, technologies and human relations.
  • Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual education, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
  • Selects teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and resource materials.
  • Executes testing and evaluation procedures to be used at completion of courses.
  • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, customer service, sales techniques, health and safety practices, public relations, refresher training, promotional development, upgrading, and leadership development.
Skills - Experience and Requirements:

A successful Satellite TV Installation Trainer will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff.
  • Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
  • Flexible, innovative and the ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment.
  • Travel is required.
