San Rafael Medical Center is looking for an experienced, self-motivated Assistant Nurse Managers to join their Adult Services team
Starrt date: 1/12/14 13 weeks
Shifts:12N 6p-6a
Manages the units day to day clinical operations including practice standards, staffing, payroll, budgets, fiscal management, and quality improvement. Develops and implements action plans to improve staff development. Supervises a single unit (8 to 24 hours) of approximately 20 - 60+ employees. Ensures the highest quality of care is provided and is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and established departmental policies and procedures. Utilization of services. Monitors the
quality of service and utilization standards and assumes specific responsibility for patient care at the unit level. Ensures coordinated plans of treatment, customer focused care and cost effective utilization of services. Works with health care providers outside of the unit, to achieve optimal patient care across the continuum. Researches, identifies, and implements best practice models of other units. Investigates and resolves patient/family member concerns regarding patient care. Supervises the daily unit operations.
The role of the telemetry nurse (Tele RN) is to provide care for patients by comfortably connecting them to machines that measure blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, blood-oxygen level, and electrocardiogram information. The tele RN also monitors and interprets this data, assessing any potential health problems and needs, while also developing nursing care plans and maintaining accurate medical records. A telemetry nurse typically works in hospitals or other clinical environments.
Required Qualifications
Management/Supervisory/Charge Nurse Experience
BSN or BA in health care related field required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current California RN license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required. Clinical nursing experience relevant to given dept (usually 3-4 yrs), including 2 years leadership experience
