Seasonal Area Games Supervisor

We have an immediate opening for a Seasonal Area Games Supervisor.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

For more than 120 years, Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park has been a family destination, creating memories worth repeating. Operating on 63 acres, it is America’s only downtown area theme and water park. Elitch Gardens is open May through October and offers 53 rides, live entertainment, shopping, dining and breathtaking views of Denver from every angle.

JOB SUMMARY: Manage and motivate the daily operation of the unit/units assigned in the games department, while maintaining guest satisfaction and profitability according to company standards.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Training, scheduling, incentive motivation, discipline and the opening and closing of both shifts. .
• Make sure all park policies and procedures are being followed by the team members at all times
• Responsible for implementing existing training programs for both new and rehired team members
• Operate area within the labor and cost of sales restraints.
• Responsible for all transactions on a given day.
• Maintain all storage areas clean, organized, and inventory ready
• Responsible for displaying merchandise with the intent to promote sales and discourage theft.
• Encourage guests to play games, explaining the rules of the game and observing game play to ensure all game rules are followed.
• Complete understanding, control, and evaluation of inventories
• Make change for guests and depositing game revenue.
• Keep stands and area clean, organized and stocked at all times.
• Assist in overseeing departmental staff within an area, which includes the following; up to 3 Supervisors and up to 20 Team Members.
• Maintain a safe work and guest environment at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to multi task.
• Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred. Must possess oral and written English skills and be able to communicate with Guests and other employees effectively.
• Required to work in various weather conditions.
• Candidate must be minimum 18 years of age.
• Available to work overtime and flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Attention to detail.

• Must be able to walk or stand for up to six hours a shift.
• Requires occasional kneeling, bending, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling.

• Requires occasional carries up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel hand truck.
• Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing and speech.

* This is a seasonal position with a maximum period of employment being twenty six weeks. Hours will vary each week. During peak season hours will typically be 20 to 40 hours a week. The employment period is not guaranteed nor are the hours.
