JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing Loss Prevention Agents and to perform investigations.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Loss Prevention Agents are responsible for preventing the loss of any of the company’s assets when possible and to recover those assets and apprehend the individuals that cause a loss when necessary.
  • Responsible for the day to day operation of the Loss Prevention department.
  • Assisting in recruiting, hiring and training Loss Prevention staff.
  • Participate in presentations relating to loss prevention, including new hire orientations.
  • Coordinate training for supervisors in the recognition and handling of employees suspected in dishonesty, substance abuse and other criminal matters.
  • Conduct operation audits in all departments.
  • Collect and evaluate accounting information.
  • Conduct interviews with employees with unexplained variances to determine their competence, training/knowledge, or involvement in dishonesty.
  • Conduct follow-up interviews and meetings to collect information needed for criminal and civil prosecution of cases.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with some college preferred.
  • Good communication, documentation, interpretive, interview and interrogation skills.
  • One year previous loss prevention experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess good oral and written English skills and be able to communicate with guests and other employees effectively.
  • Available to work overtime – if over 18
  • Available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Attention to detail.
