Chassis Mechanic needed.
Job requirements:
- Perform brake jobs on chassis.
- Welding and cutting on chassis and containers.
- Inspect containers and chassis for needed repairs.
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure personal safety and a clean work environment.
- Move containers to and from chassis or another location within the yard for storage or repair. Drive a lift truck to transport containers while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Repair, overhaul or adjust automobile brake systems.
- Examine vehicles, compile estimates of repair costs and secure customers' approval to perform repairs.
We consider driver to be unacceptable if they committed any of the following within the last five years:
- Driving while intoxicated or impaired or under the influence of drugs.
- Reckless driving or similar violation, including racing.
- Speed in excess of 25 MPH over the posted limit.
- Criminal type conviction, including homicide, manslaughter or hit and run.
- 3 or more at fault accidents and/or moving violations in the past 3 years.
- 2 or more at fault accidents and/or moving violations in the past year.
