POSITION PURPOSE
Analyzes financial reports and records, and prepares studies or recommendations relative to the accounting for At Home Services. 

Accounting professional experienced in full service general accounting in a high-volume environment.    Manage general ledger postings

  •    Assist in timely period-end closing & reporting
  •    Perform fixed asset management & reporting
  •    Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  •    Reconcile bank accounts
  •    Support inter-company accounting
  •    Preparing monthly sub-ledger reconciliations & journal entries
  •    Developing, implementing & improving accounting & internal control policies & procedures
  •    Other duties as assigned


MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Prepares and analyzes income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting statements and reports.
  • Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
  • Applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures.
  • Instructs or assigns work to bookkeepers, accounting clerks and other associates engaged in general accounting activities.
  • Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions.
  • Participates in financial reporting.

NATURE AND SCOPE

  • This position typically reports to a Senior Staff Accountant.
  • No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area.
  • Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Examples include: telephone operator and file clerk.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be eighteen years of age
  • Must pass the Drug Test
  • Must pass the Background Check
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
  • On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Accountin
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Track

  • Financial Analysis
  • Written and Verbal communications skills
  • Computer application skills such as Excel, Access, General Ledger, etc
  • Must be able to multi-task and balance multiple high priority tasks.
