Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Supervises maintenance shop employees.
- Participates in hiring, training, scheduling and performance management decisions.
Reviews work orders, assigns tasks to employees and verifies the quality of work performed. - Coaches mechanics on techniques and procedures.
- Maintains records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed and assures proper data entry into the Computerized Fleet Analysis system (CFA).
- Schedules work to be performed based on routine preventive maintenance inspections.
- Procures parts necessary to complete repairs within assigned limits. Refers larger purchases or major repairs to Manager.
- Conducts employee observations. Discusses findings with employees.
- Inspects trucks and tools.
- Maintains a safe and productive work environment.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Occasionally road tests vehicles to determine repairs needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Required:
- 1 year of supervisory or lead experience is required.
- Mechanic School Certification and/or ASE Certification is required.
- Class A or B CDL without airbrake restriction and any applicable endorsements
- Must provide a basic set of tools.
- Must possess a valid clear driver's license.
- Working Condition:
- Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
