Stationary Equipment Mechanic

Performs repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment, compactors, conveyors, etc. to maximize safe and productive operations.

Stationary Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical problems


• Routine and preventative maintenance.


• Perform maintenance on compactors, recycling equipment, conveyors, etc.


• Repair or replaces parts, such as pistons, rods, gears, valves and bearings.


• Overhaul or replace carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters and pumps.


• Repair and install plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.


• Other duties may be assigned

Qualified Candidates For The Position Will Have Met The Following:

• Required:
  
  
  • Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 2 years of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
  
  
  • Valid drive license


• Preferred:
  
  
  • Mechanical or trade school certificate
  
  
  • Certificate in electronic diagnostics
  
  
  • ASE certificate
  
  
  • Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience
