Job Summary: The General Manager is responsible for the overall operation of their assigned restaurant. Key responsibility areas include team performance, meeting financial and operational goals, facility maintenance, and customer engagement and retention.
Key Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and effectively to achieve financial and operational goals.
- Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Develop initiatives to build sales, profitability, and guest counts. Maintain effective cost controls in support of these initiatives.
- Enhance guest satisfaction by developing plans and programs for guest oriented quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Ensure the health and safety of all guests and staff through development and implementation of safety and security systems.
- Ensure effective cash handling procedures are followed.
- Support and implement all Company marketing efforts.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are followed with regards to recipes and food prep, food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness.
- Build team with quality employees who value guest service and are committed to high standards of performance.
- Work within established guidelines and policies for interviewing, selecting, hiring, orientation, training, and development of associates.
- Oversee all restaurant administrative requirements including cash handling, service audits, government compliance, financial and operational reporting, staffing and scheduling, purchasing, and contract services.
Key Qualifications:
- Education: High School Graduation or equivalent, course work in restaurant management preferred
- 3 plus years prior professional experience as a manager, national brands preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license
- Knowledge of Labor Laws, Health Codes, Safe Food Handling and Sanitation, Safety and security systems and procedures, computer operations,
- Good people management skills, communication and listening skills.
- High ethical standards
- Leadership presence, time management and organizational skill, and ability to adapt to change.
- Internally motivated, detail oriented, and passionate about quality, consistency, people, performance, and profits.
- Open availability, strong work ethic, and sense of urgency.
- Ability to pass a drug test and a back ground check.
