We are currently hiring experienced Quality Inspector in South Bend, IN. This is an outstanding opportunity with a reputable manufacturing company! Our customer provides a variety of industrial applications to the medical instrumentation and aerospace industries with precision machinery components, assemblies and engineering support services.

 

Job Description:

 

·         Inspects materials and parts to engineering drawings and specifications

·         Examines certifications for type of material and special processing such as heat treatment, plating and surface treatments.

·         Inspect materials for surface defects and proper measurements to blueprints

·         Measures part features accurately using basic hand tools such as dial calipers, height gauge, plug gauge and thread gauges

·         Test parts for hardness, and assembly units for mechanical functioning

·         Troubleshoot root cause of defects and if salvageable

·         Keep proper documentation

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training or an ASQ Certification (CQT preferable)
• Good math skills, basic algebra and geometry with the ability to calculate figures and amounts
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and ability to utilize the ERP’s system to locate jobs, status operations sequences and log comments
• Ability to follow instructions, have good problem solving skills

Pay Rate: $12-16 hour   

Shift/Hours: 6a-4:30pm Monday - Friday

We are currently hiring experienced Customer Service Rep in Walkerton, IN. This is an outstanding opportunity with a reputable company!

 

Job Description:

 

·         Receive, research, and answer customer inquiries and requests regarding accounts, products, and services offered as well as analyze information from various sources to resolve customer issues within level of authority.

·         Assure the accurate input of information necessary to generate a customer order by compiling booking information, along with developing necessary data to identify all roller specifications including function, compound and tolerances, etc.  Resolve informational issues arising from order entry and booking processes by contacting necessary sources:  sales, customer, and manufacturing.

• Negotiate expedite requests with Plant Manager when customer situation necessitates a change in schedule.
• Initiate outside vendor estimates for cores, grooving, balancing, etc., through the Purchasing Department.

·         Update and validate supporting database of information to maintain integrity of:  customer equipment record, customer history file, blueprint file and other related records.

·         Ensure truck run schedules are established to meet customer needs. 

• Take initial request from field sales representatives/managers and customers.  Review Customer Equipment Record (CER) for current pricing status of customer/rollers. 

 

 

• Interpret blueprints and, when necessary, obtain further detailed information from Engineering, Research and Development (R&D), Product Managers, etc. and any other available resources.

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Microsoft Office experience
• Good Data Entry skills
• Experience filing by alphanumeric and numeric
• Knowledge of Industrial products
• Experience with an ERP system such as Syteline
• Able to think on your feet and have good listening skills
