Regional Technical Field Service Representative



Hiring Requirements and Job Specifics:

Houston Based Position

Salary plus bonus

30 %- 40 % Travel

North America - Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma

Commercial Job Site Experience

Waterproofing and/or General Contractor Experience (Min 2 - 5 Years)

Playing with a Team and Managing Own Schedule









Focus is on practical procedures, specialized techniques and knowledge within the Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing , related commercial functions, and professional and scientific disciplines.



Critical elements include construction complexity, construction techniques and construction variables.



Problem Solving is an essential activity for the Field Representatives considering the amount and nature of the thinking required in the job in the form of analyzing, reasoning, evaluating, creating, using judgment, forming hypotheses, drawing inferences, arriving at conclusions and the reality of the environment in which the thinking takes place.



Field Representatives support proper application of Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing products, meeting company and industry guidelines, utilizing written and verbal communications, including on-site support during application of products.



A successful Field Representative will collaborate with external and internal customers by taking an active role in industry associations, cross-functional training programs, and internal product development initiatives.



Demonstrate cycle time sensitive project management skills.



Duties/Responsibilities, Core knowledge:




Provide technical support or assistance to distributors, applicators, contractors, chemists, engineers, sales and customer service.



Visit job sites as required prior to, during and post construction to review application integrity, general safety and conformance to manufacturer requirements, project specifications and governing codes.

Review and interpret site specifications or construction methods to ensure compliance to with application specifications.



Ensure that product/material installation is performed properly and is in compliance with applicable construction and product guidelines.



Maintain job site logs and records with photographs if appropriate.



Train and provide proper application guidance to distributors, applicators and contractors.



Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.



Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses.



Write technical reports or prepare graphs or charts to document product performance.



Operate computer-aided drafting (CAD) equipment or conventional drafting station to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records.



Analyze codes/regulations, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural application/design and product performance.



Visit job sites to obtain and assemble data to compile necessary measurements for analysis.



Determine procedures and instructions to be followed, according to design specifications and quantity of required materials.



Internal evaluation of the product lines requires familiarity with a laboratory setting including: Instrumentation and safety requirements; data organization; sample preparation; investigation of submitted sealant samples; adhesion testing on substrates; competitive products analysis.

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

BS Degree (Chemistry, Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Construction Technology with a Math & Science background)

2-5 years related work experience (Commercial construction, drafting, architecture, and manufacturing)
