This position will sit in our Pitney Bowes Software business unit, which provides global software solutions, data, and services to help customers gain greater competitive advantage and enhanced decision making abilities through an array of offerings in Communications Management, Customer Analytics and Location Intelligence. Pitney Bowes Software was created through key acquisitions of MapInfo, Group 1 and most recently Portrait Software. We are currently seeking an Americas Services Sales Executive to generate a quality pipeline and close new business on a consistent basis.
This is an exciting and pivotal time to join Pitney Bowes and join the Americas Services organization. Pitney Bowes is proactively positioning itself to capitalize on the changing landscape occurring today in the corporate IT market, as the company evolves along the lines of solutions, services and software to become a leader in Digital Commerce. The right candidate will be an integral part of our talented team, supporting our continued growth. This position will be home-based and require travel between and within US and Canada.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Build and maintain an active pipeline of qualified leads through selective cold calling, attending industry trade shows, providing product demonstrations, working leads from direct mail campaigns and other marketing campaigns.
  • Document and maintain all leads within Salesforce.com.
  • Aggressively build a pipeline of new business to consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue quotas.
  • Minimum activity standards include weekly "C" level meetings, complex discovery sessions to uncover customer business problems, custom solution demonstrations, and complex ROI and investment presentations.
  • Ability to work with a team of PB Solution Architects, Sales Engineers and License Sales representatives to recommend integrated software and service offerings.
  • Obtain the maximum services revenue from each account and sales opportunity through recognition of broader needs that PB Software can address and through the strongest possible adherence to approved pricing.
  • Establish the best possible long-term relationship with each prospect and customer so as to maximize future revenue opportunities. Included are meaningful business relationships with "C" level executives.
  • Manage the sales process including Bids, RFPs, MSAs and SOWs.

Qualification


Required Qualifications:
  • 10 or more years of related experience with 5 or more years in a global/regional services sales role is required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Clear understanding of creating services demand and delivering high quality effective customer engagement with full life cycle customer experience.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of technology solutions, software, and analytics as well as applying domain expertise on behalf of corporate clients.
  • Experience in Business Process Modeling, Customer & Predictive Analytics, Customer Communications, Data Strategy, Data Transformation and/or Location-based Intelligence.
  • Experience in implementing large scale software projects (People Process and Technology).
  • Experience establishing strong partnerships with key organizational stakeholders.

  • Industry experience should include software driven product environments leveraging open systems and web-enabled channels.
  • A leader with the highest personal ethics, integrity and courage.
  • A keen business sense, balancing his/her actions to realize a long-term benefit for the organization.
  • Experience in setting and executing a strategy with internal business partners.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage internal and external clients.
  • Excellent communicator who practices direct, candid and open dialogue.
  • Strong decision-making and presentation skills.
  • Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to persuade others as appropriate.
