IT Director

Overview

This position is responsible for creating the company’s strategic and tactical technology plan; aligning this plan with the business strategies of the company and overseeing, leading, managing and successfully executing the plan.

In this role, you will provide general oversight of the IT infrastructure, provisioning, planning, installation and operation. You will be responsible for researching and planning for implementation of the most recent technologies in the industry. Responsibilities

? Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.

? Manage IT staff, which includes hiring, training, guidance, and discipline

? Develop the IT staff to meet the changing needs of users, groups and offices; new projects and technologies; and varying staff strengths.

? Work with our operations department to develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to staff and to end-users.

? Manage financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review.

? Assess new technologies and utilization of existing technology.

? Communicate regularly with executive management and users of information services and systems.

? Complete projects by coordinating resources and timetables with other departments and vendors.

? Work with IT department to ensure client service is meeting the needs of our end users.

? Maintain and strengthen vendor relationships.

Qualifications

? Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.

? Ten to twelve years systems engineering and project management experience.

? Three to five years supervisory experience.

? Advanced technology degree or certifications are desirable.
