Painter-Blasters Job Description

• Performing surface prep on tanks, shipboard piping systems, interior and exterior surface areas utilizing grinders and sandblasters

• Applying surface coating applications with brush and roll technique

• Applying surface coating applications with airless and conventional sprayers

• Adhering to shipyard safety practices

Job Requirements

• Ability to operate scissor and boom lifts up to a height of 30/feet

• Minimum three years verifiable, recent and relevant work experience in the ship repair industry

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Able to wear a respirator

• Ability to work within confined spaces, on uneven surfaces and tolerate extreme weather conditions

• Must pass a drug screen

• Reliable transportation required

• Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts
