Our client, a logistics company located near the JFK airport is currently seeking a Bio Pharm Department Logistics Coordinator to join their growing Bio Pharm department.

The overall responsibility of the BPD Logistics Coordinator is to ensure all shipping requirements and functions are completed accurately within time established parameters for domestic USA, international export and import shipments. The responsibilities include communicating with customers and their corporate partners overseas to assure all United States and foreign government regulations are compliant and due diligence is performed on consignments. The BPD Coordinator is also responsible for all routings, communications, issue management, and shipment milestone data entry for the life cycle of a shipment. They are seeking candidates that have the ability to learn quickly, are self-motivated and eager to succeed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include but are not limited to:

Client Customer Service

? Responsible for communicating with clients via both phone and electronic correspondence for transportation domestically and internationally

? Responsible for problem resolution and issue management - Client facing, domestic and overseas partners

? Responsible for communication with client on consignment status verbally, electronically, and via our client’s transportation management system

? Consistently demonstrate a professional, strong relationship with all client contacts. Keep the pulse of customer satisfaction.

Tracking and Tracing

? Ensure that pickup/recovery of consignments are completed accurately within time parameter

? Responsible for accurate and timely data entry of consignment notes in our client’s transportation management system

? Responsible for accurate and timely data entry of shipment milestone reporting for both internal and external use

? Responsible for interacting with overseas and domestic partners to ensure timely reporting of “Proof of Delivery”

Operations

? Responsible for full life cycle shipment management - Door to Door

? Responsible for accurate and timely airline courier/cargo bookings -- Including generation of domestic air waybills

? Responsible for vendor and agent management on a consignment level -- Including generation of domestic Bill of Ladings and Delivery Orders

? Responsible for generation of client labels, invoices, and paperwork needed for transportation

Skills/Qualifications:

? Must have the ability and flexibility to work 2nd shift (5 pm – 1 am) and some weekends

? Must have 2-3 years of work experience within the logistics/courier/freight forwarding industries, specifically with BioPharm or Cold Chain experience

? Experience with temperature control products (Cold Chain). World geography and international awareness a plus.

? Must have customer service experience, be detailed oriented, have problem resolution skills, confidence and the ability to multi task

? Have a positive attitude and be team work oriented
