Spherion in partnership with our client company is seeking a qualified Customer Service/Sales Associate to help grow our clients business to the next level.

Our client is looking to hire a Sales/Customer Service Associate for an online truck seating store. Qualified candidate needs to be a self-starter and able to wear multiple hats, and preferably has some familiarity with air suspension seating and/or the trucking industry, but willing to train. The position will have a physical location of Battle Creek, Michigan. Some flexibility in responding to customers in the evening/weekend hours for high priority items is required.

Sales Role

This portion of the position includes becoming familiar with products offered on the website to assist customers in selecting product.

Responsibilities include:
  • Answer product questions through email, phone, and web chat. Responsible for gathering information from online sources, distributors and seat manufacturers in order to provide customers with the most information possible before purchasing online. Includes product features and product fit information.
  • Capture prospect information in salesforce.com . Schedule follow up for future sales opportunities.
  • Take phone orders. Some customers prefer to order over the phone rather than online. Qualified candidate will need to take the order information and enter it into the system. Also required to become very familiar with our delivery and distribution model for each product in order to accurately set customer expectations about turnaround time and fulfillment.
  • Outbound sales campaigns to fleet managers, past customers and prospects. Requires cold calling and actively trying to engage new sales.



Service Role

This portion of the position includes post sale activities that complete the customer’s experience.

Responsibilities include:
  • Working with manufacturers, warehouses and distributors on the fulfillment of orders.
  • Schedule shipments for all warehouse/distributor freight orders.
  • Keep customer informed of order status
  • Communicate shipment tracking information once available.



Product Handling

Working with Local seat manufacturing resources to ensure all products are photographed and features are documented for publishing on the website. Update Website content (periodical review of content, content suggestions, etc.). Our goal is to publish as much information about our products as possible - pushing all content out the end user.

Technology Requirements:

All ordering is managed via the BigCommerce platform. This position will have access to order and customer management with that environment. Prospects are managed via salesforce.com. Any job applicant must be proficient in basic tools, such as email, word processing. Spreadsheets, Skype and have the ability to pick up new tools as needed.

Requirements





Minimum Qualifications include:

  • 2-5 years in a Customer Service environment, preferably in a call center.
  • Associates Degree or higher
  • Great phone etiquette
  • Great Knowledge of navigating and researching on the internet, Proficient with email and Microsoft office
  • Familiarity with salesforce.com a plus
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be able to pass prescreening requirements
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed
