Accounting Clerk

Randstad in Chicago is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable Clerk for a temporary assignment in Chicago. This position is located in the Loop and is with a client that specializes in digital media and market research. This is a full time, temporary opportunity with a growing company. This position will start ASAP. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience in accounting, that includes both Accounts Payable AND Accounts Receivables. This person MUST be knowledge of accounting software and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Typical duties:
-processing and verifying applications for credit and soliciting payments on overdue accounts
-compiling necessary information from financial institutions such as banks and credit organizations
-keeping records of all delinquent accounts, incomplete files, and tabulating credit risks
-compiling amounts owed by the company to vendors, supplier or other organizations
-gathering purchase orders, charge slips, sales tickets, etc. and preparing payments
-maintaining all payment or other transaction records

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Qualifications:
-MUST have at least 2 years experience with Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivables
-MUST have experience with QuickBooks accounting software
-must be detail oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
