Position Description:
FrontierMEDEX, a rapidly growing, exciting, Baltimore-based international travel assistance company is looking for dynamic individuals who enjoy working in challenging emergency situations providing assistance to world travelers. This team environment operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, requiring individuals willing to work flexible schedules. Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include responding to calls dealing with travel issues, medical situations/emergencies determining availability of care required, when not available coordinating the logistical arrangements to facilitate emergency transportation to a location where care needs can be met.
- Consistently manages individual cases/projects for a diverse group of clients with varying and sometimes complex needs.
- Takes action to assure customer needs and expectations are met. Independently manages most complex and challenging cases/projects.
- Documents case work in Customer Relationship Management System. Provides mentoring to less experienced staff and is involved with leadership responsibilities.
- Performs duties assigned by management.
- Respond to incoming calls
- Assess need of customer and develop resolution for emergency and non-emergency medical situations
- Accurately document case work
- Independently manages outpatient and inpatient medical cases to resolution
- Respond to travel emergencies and security situations around the globe
- Positions in this function are responsible for direct customer service of non-insurance related products (i.e. Ingenix products).
- May provide technical expertise, problem triage, instructions or general non-sales customer support.
- Analyzes and investigates.
- Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise
- *French, Arabic, or Spanish bilinguals highly preferred
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years Customer Service experience
- Must be flexible to work any shift 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year
- Intermediate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Assets:
- Any second language outside of English is a plus
- Healthcare experience is preferred
- BA/BS is preferred
- Extended periods of sitting at a computer and use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse
- Office environment
