About this job

Positions in this function assist in the care of the patient by following through on Provider orders for treatments. Individuals may be responsible for taking the patients' vital signs, conducting blood draws or taking x-rays as certified. Individuals in this function typically have certification or are working towards their certification as a Medical Assistant. May also be responsible for overseeing and participating in day-to-day Clinical care of patients. Employees are involved in direct patient care (in a clinic, in-home care, etc.)

 

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Travel between serviced clinics to provide professional nail care to patients to include trimming and buffing of toenails.

  • Organizes treatment rooms and ensures all supplies are available.

  • Replenishes inventory as needed.

  • Works closely with staff to schedule patients accordingly.

  • Team player.

  • Enjoy working with Senior citizens.

  • Flexible schedule.

  • Limited work experience.

  • Works on simple tasks using established procedures.

  • Depends on others for guidance.

  • Work is typically reviewed by others.

Requirements

Requirements:


  • High School Diploma/GED.

  • Must have graduated from an Accredited Medical Assistant Program.

  • Medical Assistant Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days.

  • CPR Certification or the ability to obtain such within 30 days.

  • You must be able to complete the 10 hour on-line course to become a "Certified Nail Tech" within 30 days of hire. The information regarding this course can be found at www.medinails.com.

  • Up to 10% of Travel to cover local WellMed locations.

  • Basic (or higher) level of Computer skills.

  • Bilingual fluency with English and Spanish.

Assets: 


  • Experience as a Nail Technician.
