The primary responsibility of this position is to provide data analyst support for ongoing and new development of a data warehouse and other application development projects. The analyst is responsible for data analysis, and ensuring that the data assets of Optum Local Care Delivery are supported by a data architecture that aids the organization in achieving its strategic goals.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Perform data analysis for a data warehouse, data marts, and other data stores in support of the Optum Local Care Delivery enterprise

  • Perform data analysis & data profiling of source systems

  • Define and maintain business intelligence/data warehouse methodologies, standards, and industry best practices

  • Work with ETL development and QA team to develop data warehouse solutions

  • Create Data Dictionary with full description of data elements and their usage

  • Participate in Data Governance activities and be responsible for data integrity

  • Create source-to-target mapping based on requirements

  • Create rules definitions and transformation logic

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5 or more years' experience in data analysis of Data Warehouse environments- Some experience in data modeling Tools such as Erwin, ER Studio etc.

  • 5 or more years' experience on data analysis/data profiling of source systems

  • 5 or more years of SQL programming & tuning experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • 2 or more years of experience in the health care industry

  • Experience presenting analysis results to director-level leaders

Preferred Qualifications



  • Collaborating with remote team of resources

  • Data modeling and data architecture experience

  • Knowledge of ETL tools
