The Time Warner Cable Internship Program offers students a work experience which will create a bridge between their classroom knowledge and possible career choices. This opportunity will allow you to gain valuable professional experience within an industry leading company.
The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Summer Intern for our AD&E Systems Engineering group. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions:
This position will be working with senior engineering staff on designing and building a load generation system that can be used to stress test new applications before they are released to customers. In addition to building the system, the project includes building some sample tests that engineers can use as templates for future tests.
Position responsibilities will include assisting in product development, integration into the larger TWC environment, documentation of these integration steps; as well as development of test steps to validate the platform functionality. Responsibilities may also include working with 3rd party vendors.
Job Requirements:
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems is essential. Experience with standard web scripting languages (PHP, Python, PERL) and the basics of HTML/XML would be very useful.
Understanding of and experience with load testing tools would be helpful, but is not strictly required.
Experience with and understanding of standard Internet protocols, such as HTTP, DHCP, DNS, NTP, TFTP is desirable.
Education and Experience:
Must be currently enrolled in a degreed program in the Spring 2014 semester to be eligible.
Our 10 week program begins June 2 nd and ends August 8 th . This is a full time (40 hour work week) paid internship. Please note we do not provide housing.
