Our CETUS division is seeking an experienced mechanical fabrication technician with significant experience fabricating parts with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment as well as assembly, integration, and repair in an R&D environment. The ideal candidate also has experience integrating complex marine electromechanical systems. Up to 25% travel may be required for this position. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): -Plan, program, set up, and operate CNC equipment, including 5 axis turning center. -Perform standard machining, including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, surface finishing, sawing, sanding. -Interpret engineering drawings and perform necessary calculations to assist in fabrication. -Perform quality control on work in progress and finished parts. -Develop documentation protocols. -Maintain part logs. Desired Qualifications: -Competency with general assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and repair of electromechanical systems. -Experience with titanium and/or composite materials. -Welding experience, especially 17-4 and/or titanium. -Experience in R&D environments and with rapid prototyping a plus. -Military experience (preferably Navy ET). Required Qualifications: -Associates, Technical or BS Degree preferred. -3+ years’ experience as a fabricator or machinist. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
