Accounting Clerk (Fixed Assets)

Top 3 Skills 1.Detail orientated with the ability to work quickly and accurately 2.5+ years of Accounting experience within a banking or financial institution 3. Solid Excel skills. Candidates do not need to do pivot tables or use VLOOKUP or Macros, the candidates need to be able to confidently and quickly navigate and manipulate data in Excel *This role is for a Fixed Asset Accounting Clerk *Education and background in accounting is a must *Nice to have: *** Fixed Assets experience *** *Good customer service experience as they will be working with internal stakeholders. *Must be comfortable asking questions and be self aware and a self starter *Training on internal systems is provided Mandate * Responsible for the due diligence of Fixed Assets and financial integrity for various legal entities to the bank's financial statement by ensuring timely and accurate recording in accordance with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and Tax guidelines. *Assisting and supporting team members, business partners and manager as required by the established business unit service level agreement Knowledge: *BA or equivalent work experience. *Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS Accounting, particularly Fixed Asset accounting *Very good knowledge of finance requirements *Good knowledge of the organization and the inter-relationships and changes within the organization *PC skills (Word, Excel, Lotus notes, Oracle, System Imaging and Access) Skills: *Strong analytical skills *Excellent multi-tasking and Prioritization of activities skills. *Work with minimum supervision. Reliable, detail oriented, well organized and accurate *Excellent Communication Skills. *Excellent trouble shooting operational issues *Grasp key issues, risks and opportunities easily. *Ability to work at very senior levels within and across the organization.
