Manpower, a leader in today's changing world of work, has two openings for Plant Mechanics in Zanesville, Ohio.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
*Troubleshooting and repair of industrial processing and packaging equipment.
*Applies knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation.
*Creates and maintains a safe clean work environment.
*Adheres to all food safety requirements during maintenance work activities.
*Follows all GMP policies and procedures to ensure product integrity.
*Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
*Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
*Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment including replacing failed components such as bearings, motors, starters, solenoids, etc.
*Performs preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on all plant equipment.
*Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
*Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts as required.
*Define spare part requirements for all equipment.
*Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
*Ability to work extended work schedules, daily, and weekend overtime.
*Ability to be flexible should schedule temporarily change as work dictates. Weekend and Holiday work as required. Respond to call-in work as required. Some heavy lifting and moving of equipment required. Lifting of objects up to 75 lbs
*Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
*High School Diploma or equivalent
*Ability to pass written and practical mechanic test
*Past experience with automated maintenance system is required
*Experience and ability to work in fast paced environment.
*Experiences in all aspects of Maintenance areas (Electrical, PLC, Mechanical Machine Shop, Fabrication)
*Must be able to immediately contribute to the team.
Work Schedule: 4:50pm to 5:00am 2 on / 2 off / 3 on 2 off / 2 on / 3 off 36 hours week 1 48 hours week 2 Estimated Hours per week: Week 1 (36 hours) Week 2 (48 hours) (84 hours bi-weekly) w/potential of additional overtime.
