Project Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

JOB SUMMARY: Location:Northern, NJ Industries:Construction, Public, Private, Institutional, Residential and Commercial Projects Job Type:Full Time Employee Years of Experience:Less than 2 years Education Level:Bachelor's Degree Career Level:Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) ABOUT THE JOB Position: Project Engineer Summary of Position: Professional services firm that offers Project Management, Owner's Representative and Construction Management services. This position works with Senior Management and reports directly to the Senior Project Manager. Essential Responsibilities: Coordinate & manage overall project files and systems. Manage Oracle/Meridian project database. Manage all project Requests for information (RFI's). Manage all project submittals & shop drawings. Attend project meeting minutes and distribute minutes from meetings. Take weekly progress photos.  TRAINING & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: *A bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e. engineering, or related field with emphasis on construction management.) *Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite products including Microsoft Project. Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of basic building design and construction systems Knowledge of construction estimating. Ability to read construction documents and specification manuals Strong organizational and communication skills Willingness to be a member of a dedicated team Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in working with computers and other types of technology Energetic, highly motivated, self-starter
