Lab Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Large Pharmaceutical Company is looking for temporary Lab Technicians. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: perform sample preparation activities including DNA extraction. Flexibility to function in several lab functional areas such as Sample Archiving, Pre-Amplification (DNA extraction and sample prep) and Post-Amplification (Sample processing and detection). Able to recognize lab work flow issues and adapt processes and procedures to ensure rapid turnaround of sample extractions and analysis. With QA guidance, assists with the recognition and troubleshooting of anomalous scientific results . Assist with investigations of questionable or out-of-specification laboratory data. Must be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, maintain a clean shared work space, proficient in pipette usage, strong excellent oral and written communication skills, and excellent time management skills. Strong team orientation and work ethic. Familiarity with Microsoft office applications and LIMS usage. Hands on experience in DNA extraction or similar lab experience a plus. Must have high school diploma or GED, have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
