Overview:

Macy's Logistics & Operations is the distribution division of Macy's Department Stores, Inc. Our distribution operations are critical to the success of our retail operations and offer dynamic and interesting opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:
Unload & load furniture and bedding from trailers and Bin merchandise in a timely fashion.
Unwrapping merchandise for inspection and wrapping of merchandise for transport on delivery trucks or relay trucks.
Wrapping of merchandise and loading of relay and bedding trailers
Must have flexibility in using order pickers to pull and locate merchandise as necessary.
Verify accuracy of paperwork and inspect merchandise before binning for delivery.
Receive shipments and move to proper staging areas
Maintain orderly flow of merchandise
Follow all operating procedures
Any other functions management deems essential.

Job Qualifications:


Attention to detail to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
Dependability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attendance a must, including following scheduled shifts.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repetitively and work at heights above 6 feet
Ability to lift, move, push and pull heavy merchandise and boxes on regular basis
Ability to work in extreme temperatures - hot and cold
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
