Enterostomal Therapy Nurse - Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse - (ET RN - ET/WOC RN - WOCN RN - CWOCN RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $24.00 *
WOC nurses provide acute and rehabilitative needs for people with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and/or integumentary system. WOC nurses provide direct care to people with abdominal stomas, wounds, fistulas, drains, pressure ulcers, and/or continence disorders. As an educator, consultant, researcher and/or administrator the WOC nurse plays a pivotal role in the guidance of optimal patient care.
The enterostomal therapy nurse (ET RN) and wound, ostomy, and continence nurse (WOCN RN) assist in the management and rehabilitation of patients with wounds, ostomies, abdominal stomas, incontinence, and skin conditions. Working to prevent pressure ulcers, ET/WOC RNs also assist in colorectal surgery, urology, pediatrics, and oncology, and practice in hospitals, private practice facilities, outpatient clinics, extended care facilities, home care, and in industry, research, and nursing education programs.
