Seasonal Quality Control Technician

The Seasonal Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing standardized qualitative and quantitative tests on work-in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with company and/or customer quality standards.

Shift and Schedule

This position is a temporary/seasonal position slated to help us through the summer months (May through September). The position will train on our 1st shift for a short period of time and will then move to our 2nd shift. The 2nd Shift typically works from 4:30pm until 3:00am beginning Monday afternoon. Flexibility to work weekends and overtime is required.



Position Responsibilities

1. Conduct analytical tests at various stages of compounding and packaging to ensure compliance with standards.
2. Approve batches for packaging and conforming finished product for shipment and places non-conforming product on hold for further analysis.
3. File and maintain retained samples.
4. Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
5. Weigh out minor ingredients for batches and make proper connections for liquid transfers.
6. Clean and sanitize all equipment.
7. Clearly document all testing results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
• 6 months of related Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment OR currently enrolled in a college degree program in Chemistry, Biology, or Science
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive basis
