Pediatric Operating Room Nurse - (Peds OR RN - Pedi OR RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D, 10 D Pay Rate: $39.71 *
Exclusive PEDI OR orders with the national ranked Yale Health Sytem in New Haven CT.
This unit is a 6 room pediatric OR and does all specialties including gen, ENT, Neuro, GI/ endoscopy, Ortho, dental and ophthalmology.
The role of the pediatric operating room nurse (Pedi OR RN) is to provide care for patients ranging from neonatal/infancy to young adulthood before, during, and after surgical procedures. Pedi OR nurses are typically either circulating nurses (working within the operating room but outside of the sterile field) or scrub nurses (handling items and tools used in the sterile field as well as making preparations for surgery). Specialties of pediatric OR nurses include craniofacial/plastics; ear, nose, and throat (ENT); neurology; ophthalmology; orthopedics; transplant; trauma; urology; vascular; and general surgery.
