About this job
We are currently in need of an Elevator Service Technician for a career opportunity with a great company in the industry. Successful candidates will have 3+ years of industrial controls maintenance and installation experience, and be able to work under indirect supervision. Position will include 75% + travel and maintenance of industrial rack and pinion elevators. Typically gone 5-10 days at a time, then back home for 5-10 days. Ability to work overtime will be essential. Candidate's main territory will be in the Midwest US, so qualified candidates must currently be residing within 2 hours of Kansas City.
Required Skills:
-Providing proper documentation
-Ability to work and communicate with clients
-preventative maintenance
-mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
-mechanical and electrical repair
-Ability to read and understand electrical and construction prints
-Understanding of PLC's, VFC's, electric motors, switches and wiring principals
-Safety minded and Professional
*Elevator state licenses are a plus
This job requires travel to many different industrial facilities, such as power plants, chemical plants, hydro electric dams, coal mines and NASA facilities throughout the country.
