About this job



1. Plans and manages all company environmental service operations including preventative, predictive, emergency maintenance, cleaning, and laundry procedures and protocols. Supervises, assigns, schedules, and monitors all work performed by the Environmental Services staff.

2. Assumes responsibility for budget planning and cost control of the Environmental Services Department, including the purchasing of supplies and negotiation of vendor contracts.

3. Concerns his/herself with the safety of all the Company's customers in order to minimize the potential for fire and accidents. Ensures that the Company adheres to the legal, safety, health, fire and sanitation standards and regulatory entities. Leads the Company in carrying out the Company's fire, safety and disaster plans and practice drills; and oversees the MSDS and OSHA compliance plans; and adheres to documentation requirements.

4. Puts Customer Service first. Ensures that customers and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes the individuals' needs and rights.

5. Develops and recommends new policies and procedures; creates training programs and conducts in-services pertaining to Environmental Services.

6. Maintains the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc. and the appearance and cleanliness of all areas, and supervises regular inspections of resident areas, rooms, ancillary, and common areas, for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of staff in their assigned duties.

7. Coordinates Environmental Services with other departments and works in harmony with staff and Managers to adequately plan for Maintenance, Housekeeping, Laundry and Purchasing services and activities.

8. Seeks out new methods, practices, and principles, and incorporates them into existing Environmental Services Department. Leads and/or serves on various committees and teams of the Company; and provides written and/or verbal reports and presentations as required by the Company.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.

10. Creates and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department.

11. Consistently demonstrates ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner.

12. Follows work assignments, and/or work schedules in completing and performing your assigned tasks.

13. Attends in-services, meetings and educational training in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.

14. Performs tasks/duties and utilize forms in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.
