We are currently hiring for Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialists for an excellent health care organization. This is a Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm shift paying $16/hr.
There are 2 main job functions for this role:
1.) Conducting appropriate Accounts Receivable and Billing. This includes reviewing charges, patient information, and insurance information prior to billing to minimize underpayments, denials, etc.
2.) More on the Collection side including account activity on final billed claims. This would entail contacting government agencies, third party payers, and patients/guarantors. Would continue activity until account is resolved, disputed, or sent to Legal.
Candidates should be familiar with HMO, PPO, IPA, and would ideally know UB04 and/or HCFA 1500 forms.
Candidates should come from a similar background with familiarity in the medical industry and some accounting or billing and coding.
